The Entrepreneurship Training Workshop

The Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) is an internationally acclaimed workshop, developed through intensive research by Prof David McClelland of Harvard University for the United Nations Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD). It is based on the concept of a behavioral approach to entrepreneurship.

DIMAT project involved adoption of a business linkage approach, whereby farmers were encouraged to improve production, quality and supply through the aid of market leaders or lead firms in a number of commodities. The interventions included among others; analysis and mapping of value chains, offering technical assistance and engaging buyers, provision of customized business development services, strengthening cooperatives and farmer groups, providing customized agricultural/business services support and introduction of innovative financing products and appropriate technologies.
